For some reason I can't select any device to "Poll". However I can select device to Start/Stop Polling.
Am I doing something wrong?
The top one is a bug in Rule Machine. The lower one, for Z-Wave Poller, shows switches that can be polled. I would suggest that you use the portion of Rule Machine that interacts with Z-Wave Poller.
Can zwave poller be more generic to also handle devices with on refresh commands?
The purpose of Z-Wave poller is very specific, and is intended to work with only two specific Z-Wave drivers: Generic Z-Wave Switch and Generic Z-Wave Dimmer. These drivers have specific functions the Z-Wave Poller depends on for proper functioning. Only certain older Z-Wave devices require polling at all, ones that do not report physical events on the switch itself. Consequently, there is no plan to extend the functionality of the app.
