Can't Get Notifications on New Phone

My parents have a C8 and they have it set up to send notifications to my phone and their phone. Everything was working until they got a new phone (Samsung). They installed the hubitat app on the new phone, but I think when they were asked to pick a device they selected my phone. I still get notifications, but they do not. They tried deleting the app and reinstalling, but it defaulted to selecting my phone. Any ideas on how to fix it? @bobbyD

Do you know if the app is connected to the hub in the app settings on their phone? This needs to happen for the notifications to appear on the phone. They would still be able to see old notifications through the notifications section in the app, but for them to pop-up as they arrive, they need to be connected.

Yes. I'm pretty sure they showed as connected to the hub, and are able to view their dashboard and devices through the app. However, under the app settings it shows they are connected to iphone, which is obviously wrong.

I don't expect selecting the "wrong" mobile device when connecting the app to the HE hub in the app should be a "problem" as-such. I believe the purpose for the mobile devices within HE are there primarily to provide a device for use automations like those triggered by presence, as well as the sending of notifications like you are doing. The fact the physical device or it's operating system don't match the original device used to create it shouldn't matter, aside from the obvious issues like notifications sent to the wrong device compared to what would be expected, etc, but they should still be received.

All that said, I am not sure if having more that one physical device connected as the same mobile HE device could be the issue.... In the end, probably best just to setup a new mobile HE device and swap the devices in HE to use the new mobile device, if that makes sense?

Yes. How do you go about doing that? I thought deleting the app and reinstalling it would trigger it to create a new mobile device, but that didn't happen.

If you have more than one mobile device on the hub I would expect opening the Settings in the mobile App and tapping the Hub setting, selecting your hub, they should see the screen come up to select the mobile device. At the bottom of this screen there is a black button for creating a new mobile device.
