Can't get devices linked on hub mesh

Trying to to get hub mesh working, but no success so far.

Devices that I've shared on a remote hub ("Workshop) show up as "Available on Workshop".

The documentation says to click on the + symbol to "add shared device to this hub". But, when I do that, the browser redirects to the Device Information page for the device, but the device doesn't get "linked". It doesn't show up in the list of devices.

Am I doing something wrong?

The remote ("Workshop") is a C8 running 2.3.201 (and "no updates are available") and the local is a C-8 running 2.4.0.123.

Generally it is recommended that all hubs participating be on the same firmware version.

Are you really clicking on the :heavy_plus_sign: or on the words? You must click the actual :heavy_plus_sign: symbol to link the devices. The words are a link which takes you to the device in question, but does NOT link the device.

I thought tried both, but apparently that was the issue. Clicked on the + and the remote device show up.

Yeah, I saw issues with incompatibility across versions First thing I tried was to update the one running 2.3.201, but I got a message that a newer update wasn't available--which made no sense, since I was running a newer version on my other hub.

But, when I tried again a newer version was shown as available so I updated with it.

Either someone fixed something that showed the 2.3 to 2.4 update as available, or I got confused about which hub I was on... Anyway, it's update now.

Thanks!

Iβ€˜m guessing that you have one hub on Beta and one that isn’t, and then 2.4.0.x was released to production.
