Can't figure out why the restrictions are not working

Hello,

Sorry to bother the Community with this but I cannot seem to figure it out. I'm in no way a power user but not exactly a newbie either and I have looked through the forums (perhaps not correctly)

My issue is, using Basic Rules, the restrictions just don't seem to work. Not only does the app not turn on or off correctly, it won't even show "restricted" consistently using either of the selections for trigger itself or pending actions and it acts differently for either of the 2 apps I created.

What I was trying to do was create apps to control my EV charger so that it charges on discount rate timing (7pm-7am weekdays, all day on the weekends) so just a simple on and off commands at the respective times and then one app for the weekdays and the other for the weekends controlled by the restrictions. No such luck.

One thing I haven't tried is to use Rule Machine but, since I'm not a power user, basically all my apps are basic and I'd hate to think that I'll need to rewrite everything

The labeling is finicky, and is just that (a label). It was meant more for informational purposes. The labeling works, once the rule was able to execute at least once. Mind sharing a screenshot of your rule set-up?

For your simple requirements, you don't need to look any further than Basic Rules, just need to set it up properly.
