I am a new owner of a Hubitat and Yale YRD226. I was able to setup the Hubitat easy enough. I am however unable to join the Yale YRD226 to the Hubitat. It is the first device I am trying. I have exhausted all options I know. I have searched this forum and cannot find a solution. I have tried rebooting the Hubitat, shutting it down completely, Zwave repair, disabling all apps, removing and readding the zwave module for the lock. I have even tried with the Hubitat located directly on top of the lock. My Hubitat is running 2.1.2.123 and is hardware version REV C5. The lock takes manual codes fine. I am starting to believe, I have received a bad hubitat, bad module, or I am really overlooking something. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am at my wits end and about to return both devices.
What color is the module?
Assuming it does have the zwave module, was the lock previously paired to another zwave controller?
Have you tried excluding it before including it?
Green.
That's the z-wave module. Have you tried excluding it before including it?
I have tried excluding it. No devices show up. Nothing happens.
Don't make the Yale Lock the first device that you are trying to port over to HE.
I have found that zwave locks need a "beaming" zwave device nearby, in order to pass along the messages from the lock to the hub.
Do you happen to have a nearby switch?

I currently don’t have any other devices. I wanted to try the lock first to test. That’s not a very good design that it needs other devices to work.
