Can't connect to hubitat c-5

Was trying to move the hubitat to a different vlan on my network. Had previously been on my main LAN at 192.168.1.100 and was moving to 192.168.40.240. changed the up to the latter as a static IP in my router then rebooted the hubitat. Didn't take initially but after some trying, it got assigned that new IP but I couldn't actually connect to the hub. It was still running automations aside from not being able to connect to WiFi devices (z wave and ZigBee worked fine). So I tried to force it back to the original IP address, now not only can I not connect to it, my router won't assign it an IP address. Have tried everything I can think of to force it to get assigned a new IP, even taking it off static but it won't work. Is there a way to hard reset the device if you can't connect to it or is it bricked and should I get a new one?

Press the reset button on the bottom of the HE with a paper clip or similar. . This will reset the lan dhcp settings. If it's still not getting an ip after that, it's likely something in your vlan config

Thanks, this worked! I didn't even know there was a reset button. It's not labeled and everywhere I looked online referred to the portal menu buttons, not the physical button.

It is strictly to reset network setup such that an IP address has to be obtained by DHCP. And not a general hardware reset button.

Its use is described in the hub documentation under Network Setup:
