Apologies for the noob question but I’m not finding the info I need in the documentation.
I’m using Webcore to query devices and send me notifications as to the status of those devices. One of those queries is a weekly battery report. The notification is being sent but when I go to Tools -> Notifications in the iOS app, I see only part of the notification. I thought I could select a notification and it would open in a new window so I could read the entire message but that doesn’t work. I have other notifications that include a notification and a time stamp and those are truncated, too.
Can anyone tell me what I’m missing here? How do I view a notification that is longer than a few lines of text? TIA.
You're supposed to be able to long-tap on the notification, and it should open the full text. That worked on Android but not iOS last I checked, so I suspect something is broken there. Tagging @moncho1138 to see if this is right.
There is another way, however, if you still have the actual iOS notification--a long press or, on older models, force-touch, on the real thing should open the full text from the lock screen, banner, etc. (not a regular tap to open the Hubitat app and lose the OS-level notification). Of course, that won't help you with things in the past.
Thank you. I was going crazy trying to figure out what I was doing wrong. And as a brand new user, I'm surprised that a function as critical as notifications doesn't work properly on iOS. Hopefully, a fix can be implemented quickly.
