I have a C5 and a C7 hub. I migrated everything over a couple of months ago. I have added 2 devices to the C5 and enabled Hub Mesh. On the C5 if I go to Hub Mesh settings, I can see both listed under shared devices. When I go to the Hub Mesh settings on the C7, they do not show under the "link to remote devices" dropdown. Nothing shows there at all. Hub Mesh appears to be enabled on both hubs; the button here says "disable hub mesh" and I assume if it were disabled would say enable instead. Any suggestions?
Also, I have no weird network setup. Everything is all on a single network.
I think what you are referring to in the Hub Mesh screen is the Share Local Devices (without the D)? Which is your opportunity to turn on sharing for local devices not currently part of your mesh.
If you tick the checkbox next to each device that should add them to the mesh, then you just need to go to the remote HE hub and create the replica of them, again via the Hub Mesh settings page.
Alternatively, on the "home" HE hub for the devices, if you open the device edit page for the new devices, does it show the Hub Mesh option turned on? Down near the device name, driver, etc? You can turn on the sharing here.
Hmmm.... That's not what I would have expected.... There is an option to sync now towards the bottom of the Hub Mesh settings page, perhaps try that on the C-7...?
I've tried clicking that on both hubs and it doesn't change anything. It was kinda late last night when I was messing with it so I didn't do a lot of troubleshooting. I just rebooted both hubs and now the shared devices are showing up on the C7.
Make sure your C5 isnβt on an old version of the hub platform. I cannot remember where the break was, but a ways back there was a breaking change that would stop hub Mesh unless you update.
Both hubs are running 2.3.0.121. I tried again and got another 500 error. However, I tried a 3rd time only selecting 1 device at a time and it worked fine. So the issue was with try to create 2 devices at the same time apparently.
