I try to login to the diagnostic tool: http://[ip]:8081/login with no success using the mac address as password (with or without colons, upper case, lowercase, etc).
I have a model c-5. This device had significant issues getting the platform running, but now it is on 2.2.3.148 (if that matters).
Going to the root page of the diagnostic tools http://[ip]:8081/ doesn't give me the full list of links, but if I navigate manually to http://[ip]:8081/resetHub it just redirects me to the login page.
I was able to do this earlier with the macaddress. Is it possible to reset or update the password someone? Any pointers would be helpful, not getting a response from the support email.
Sometimes it’s a caching issue. Have you tried logging out, a different browser, incognito tab or something similar, to rule that out?
Also forgive me for asking something obvious, but you’re attempting to access the hub diagnostic tool because you’re unable to access the hub’s regular GUI (on port 80), is that right?
What are you actually seeing when you try and logon.
Are you seeing anything.
If you are seeing code 401 you need to logout and then log in again.
You may not be getting this far but thought I would mention it in case this is what you are seeing.
Is not possible to change the password as that is always the MAC address printed on the hub. As mentioned in the email earlier, would it be possible to provide a screenshot of what error you receive when you input the MAC address? You can send it to me via PM if you cannot remove sensitive information, such as Hub UI.
And if you can't get to that use https://my.hubitat.com/ then goto Registered Hubs then click on the Hub details for that hub and the MAC address will be there.
I have no problem getting the mac address. The question was about which format to use since you can do it with -'s, :'s or no separators and upper or lower case. It should be clear which format I"m supposed to use or accept any.
It's pretty permissive with what you can use. I understood that you knew what a MAC address was and how to get it. I was just trying to give you a method that was simple and known to work.
