Cannot connect to the Hub locally, but I can connect remotely

The hub is discoverable by my router. the IP address is correct
I can access the hub remotely
This hub has been working "ok" since I installed it....
Any advice?

Can you access it with http://hubitat.local?

I have 2 hubs...One is a test bed and the other is my production hub. They are not meshed together.
I cannot access the production hub from hubitat.local...

I can see the hub from the My Hubs page but can't access it

Sounds to me like the hub’s IP changed. Because you can access it remotely, connect remotely, go to Settings, see if the Hub’s Ip matches what you are using for local access.

they are identical...
the mac address' are identical
the router ip address is identical

You can also try http://hubitat-2.local if you want to reach the other hub.

If the hub is a C5 or C7, there is a hidden Network Reset button on the bottom of the hub, accessible via the one hole that is a different shape than the rest. Use a sturdy toothpick, or similar, to press and hold the button for 7 seconds. The hub will the reset its network config and will request a DHCP address from your router. Hopefully, it will then become more clear what address the hub is using.

I will try in the morning ...thanks

Ok, if the IP address is correct, sounds like your phone is not on the LAN. What happens if you enter the hub’s IP into your phone’s browser while your phone is on the LAN rather than the cell network?

Are you using a vpn app or something similar?

A VPN app

Have you tried to acces the hub locally with the VPN turned OFF?

I cannot access the Hub locally. only from a VPN.. That is why I posted the question

Thanks

All the vpn does for you is create a tunnel that gives you a local IP address. So, if the VPN connection works but you can’t connect when “local” then your “local” connection isn’t on the same subnet as the hub.

I ran cmd, then ipconfig on my laptop.... the subnet is the same as the hub

what do you recommend I do to fix the issue?

If you use the vpn from your phone can you ping it from the laptop?

Not sure I follow?

To be clear, neither my phone (connected to my wifi) nor my laptop (connected to Wifi) nor another device in the house (connected to wifi) can access the hub.... IF i launch a vpn from any device and disconnect from wifi, I can access the hub

As mentioned earlier, I have 2 hubs....I have no problem accessing the other hub...

The issue with accessing this hub appears to be a recent issue.

Any thoughts on how to fix it?....
