Can I use two Enbrighten Switches/Dimmers in a 3-way configuration with traveller?

Hi All,

I know I can use add-on switches for a 3-way configuration, but I have extra regular Z-Wave dimmers and switches. I am trying to figure out if I can wire two Enbrighten/GE/Jasco/Ultrapro together with a traveller for a 3-way configuration with traveller wires. I know it is a waste of Z-Wave switches, but they're being wasted by not being used anyway. Any advice would be welcome. Thanks!

Nope.

That's what I was afraid of.

You can rewire one of the travelers to be constant 120v and the other traveler to be the load from the main switch. Wire the second switch to the line but no load. Then you can create a rule to turn the main switch on when the second switch it turned on.

But you can not wire the travelers to both switches.

Depending on how your 3-way switch is wired, all of mine have the load coming from the second switch, you could wire it like my very crappy wiring diagram.

Thanks. Unfortunately that doesn't get me anywhere ahead of where I already am. I already have power in both (multigang) boxes and am using associations to control the load switch from the switch without the load. I just don't like the delay it causes. Looks like I'll just have to go get some add-on switches and repurpose my extra dimmers somewhere else.

You can improve on that delay.
When I was fooling with associations, I believe I tried the below option in @JasonJoel 's fine driver.
I think it sped up other reporting, but my memory is vague, lol.

I have several 3-ways with the add-on switches. A downside is they don't have the lighted toggle.

I noticed that. The Leviton do, but they're a lot more expensive and much harder to install in a multi-gang box because they're much deeper switches.
