Can I add Ring Motion Sensor G2 to C5 hub?

Hi,

Is it okay that I add Ring G2 sensors to C5 hub without security features? I just need motion detection.

I may be wrong but I don't think they'll pair with the c5...

G2 requires S2, so no they won’t pair correctly.

Everything i have heard/read indicates you need a C7 to use any Ring Gen 2 gear.

Just pair it with S2 (it will work). It doesn't have any negative effect on your hub or mesh. I have several on a C7 with S2, and no issues at all.
