I have some wifi outlets set up and are controllable through google home/Alexa. I have a zigbee remote I want to program to be able to control some of these outlets. Is it possible or was getting into the Zigbee hub world pointless?
It is possible.
You’ll need to use the remote to change the state of a virtual device (like virtual contact sensor) that is shared with Alexa via the Amazon Echo skill.
Then create Alexa routines that change the state of the WiFi plus using as trigger the state of the virtual contact sensor.
