My C8pro is not working (covered in other threads), would like to see if my C7 can restore the database from the C8pro? Does anyone know?

Database - yes
Zwave - no, devices will be present in the database but no radio data is associated
ZigBee - radio data not restored but devices will slot back in when re-paired
The c7 was never wiped, still has all the devices etc. Only big changes are couple new devices and apps/rules. Will those restore from the c8 ok?
In that case the database restore may bring back a few device entries that donβt have radio entries, but otherwise things should work.
So, it is fine now. I pulled power and fired up my c7, updated the hub, all good. Could control lights etc. I remembered I had not gotten a backup of the c8 so I powered c7 down, fired up the c8, all good! I think someone mentioned pulling power for 30 seconds, how does that fix anything? Thankful it did but curious
The Z-Wave and Zigbee radios never fully restart unless power is removed from the hub. Thus, this is a good troubleshooting step when mesh network issues arise.
Thanks for this post/thread. I'm getting ready to go down the C8 to C8 Pro rabbit hole and wondering how easy it is to go back. Seems like the migration goes well for most but not everyone.
My c7 to c8 upgrade worked well.
I have a working well C8, migrating to a C8 Pro. Covering my bases in case in want to go back to the C8.
