C8 WIFI / ETHERNET MAC Question

I noticed today while setting up a new hub that somewhere in the firmware revisions, WIFI is now mirroring the same MAC address as the wired ethernet connection.

Previously I set up separate IP reservations using both the wired 34:e1:d1 MAC address, and the wifi 10:bb:f3 MAC address as discovered here: C8 Question re MAC address

This is primarily for convenience, and with the latest, greatly improved, web and app interface, not really critical.

My router is still assigning the correct fixed IP whether I connect with wired or wifi, so somewhere it seems to identify the right connection, even when connecting wifi through a remote AP which shows up as ethernet in my router. So it does appear that the router is seeing the native wifi MAC address. However all searches in the routing tables/arp/etc to the wifi IP address, only show the device 34:e1:d1... MAC ID.

Is there a way to identify the native wifi MAC address?

Can you clarify what adds to the convenience of reserving IP addresses for both wired and WiFi MAC addresses?

The hub should generally be connected to your LAN over WiFi or Ethernet, but not both.

Understand - just to help me keep them separate depending on what I'm using. I have multiple hubs spread over multiple properties, and some properties with multiple meshed hubs (main house / guest house / etc).

I've since resolved this myself, I rebooted my router and I am now seeing the native wifi MAC addresses again at the router. Although everything was working fine, the router connected devices table on the web interface wasn't refreshing.
