C8 To C8-Pro Gone Bad

C8-Pro migration from a C8 gone bad.
The hub just has a spinning icon when I log in
I've done a soft reset and had the same issue so did a full reset and have the same issue.

Perform a full reset on the C8 Pro and then once it is reset power it off. Power back on the regular C8. Perform a reboot with the advanced option to rebuild the DB. Then once back up perform a fresh cloud backup. Wait probably 5-10 min and then try the upgrade/restore to the C8 pro again.

Generally I have observed issues when a backup goes bad.

Remove your Hub ID.

Couple things, first carefully look at your z-wave table on the C8 and make sure you have no ghost nodes, if you do, get rid of them. Second, I advise but not sure 100% necessary, unistall non native apps prior to the backup, as well as remove LAN integrations. Last I did a fresh shutdown, power pull, then reboot, before I tried to pull my cloud backup for migration.

Gave up!
The Pro I had was more than a year old and in frustration I just so decided to go fresh and bought a new C-8 Pro.
Things have changed quit a bit since I had to do anything on my hub.

Pairing my devices is going well but the Amazon Skill is now an issue.

I'll read up on the changes and troubleshooting before reaching out on this issue.

Shouldn't be any difference between your new c8p and the old one except platform. On either you want to update both your primary hub and the c8p your migrating to to the latest platform so they're both the same.

Reboot the primary hub with a database rebuild.

Once you create the migration backup, turn off the old hub and pull power.

Once the migration happenes. Shut down and unplug the c8p for 1 minute and power back up.
