C8 Problem

I have a brand new C8, but it has already failed in part.
While it still seems to be working, and usable via the app, the web server on it seems to have failed and I am getting the following:

This page isn’t working

22.1.0.9 didn’t send any data.
ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE

The digital certificate also seems problematic.
It says it expired on 15th April 2021

This seems quite odd.
I've trried to back it up and restore it, but it still has problems.
Any recommedations on how to restore the functionality?

The cert would only apply if you're using httpS to connect. A brand new hub can use http successfully. Once you have access via the web UI, you can install your own certificates and setup passwords, etc.

The current cert built in is indeed expired BUT it's been expired for a year...

I have no idea why the cert in the latest platform is that far out of date, but clearly it must be intentionally left to encourage "us" to apply our own certs. In other words, it's more in the "odd" category, as you suggest, than a bug, per se. :smiley:

Just a side note, if you are coming from a older hub and giving the C8 the same IP address as your old one, you'll probably want to clear the browser cookies for that IP.

Just something I learned the hard way.
