I just went to purchase the C8 on Amazon and it's 20 more than direct from Hubitat. Is this normal, I thought the pricing were normally the same.
That's normal since they have to pay Amazon some fees.
Still strange though because when you order from hubitat, amazon does the fulfillment
I am sure that fulfillment only is cheaper than selling/listing and fulfilling. They probably get more of a % of listing sales.
Actually buying through Hubitat was a little cheaper. 5.00 shipping was less than sales tax through Amazon.
Not strange, Amazon charges fee for fulfillment separate from listing/selling. It's quite high to sell a product on Amazon actually.
Not to mention that Amazon likely holds onto the money for 30+ days in order to ensure any returns are accounted for, whereas most payment processors (e.g. Clover, Square) make the deposit within a business day or so.
