Newly installed C8 with FW 2.4.0.151. Google search reports 2.4.1.143 is current version. When I force search for updated FW in Settings, Reports "No updates available".
2.4.0.151 is the current production version. 2.4.1.x is currently in beta.

As noted, current release is 2.4.0.151 which is what's on your hub. Your Google search results are including information on the current hub platform beta, 2.4.1.xxx.
So you're good...in the future after you're comfortable w/HE you may want to join the beta group if you'd like to test newest release and provide feedback.
...and Google is wrong
