Did you just update to the .167 beta build? Someone else said (in beta section) it happened right after updating and another reboot resolved it.
I did (I explained in more detail in the beta thread 'C-8 - Problems after Soft Reset' just before adding to this). I updated to .167, did a soft reset and restore and was having CPU alerts. I didn't notice the red/green LED at that point. I did a second reboot and that's when (I think) it started. I haven't tried a third reboot as yet.
