C7 UG .141 to .153 gulps memory immediately

UG my workhorse C7 hub from .141 to .153 this evening. First off I usually click on everything to see if it appears to be there. When I clicked on Dashboards I got an error 500,- then there was no response for a minute or so, then the hub rebooted itself. When it started again it had about 560,000 free memory, then in about 10 seconds it dropped to 296,000! It appears all is okay now, but I'm tempted to revert to my previous platform because of the low memory situation. My C4 and C5 seem to have done the UG fine, but they had been on something like .149 or .150 for a few days.

See bottom image - after 17 minutes everything seems to be settling down. I'm going to let it run until tomorrow and see how it is.

That's actually pretty normal preload apps on current version using the new java library. After several days the current version will hover between 240 and 260

Thanks for that Rick. I'm used to seeing 500 plus immediately after boot. Everything does seem to be working ok. My c7 will normally drop to under 200 in three days.

As long as it stays above 130, I probably wouldn't worry. One of the earlier ones had me down at 80 or so before I was getting warnings and yet everything functioned fine.

I have a rule to reboot if free memory drops below 190. I'm going to change that to 150 and see how it goes. Thanks for your advice.

Drop it to 130 and get a notification when it happens. Will give you a better idea of how quick it drops.

I create a text file which records free memory every hour. Its been months since my zigbee would shut down. So overall things are running very well. My c7 is heavy with rules and devices. It is an amazing little device. Seems to take everything i throw at it.

Simple question,

Where are you getting this info screen?

@thebearmay 's Hub information device driver available in Hubitat Package Manager

All available attributes (Note zigbee and z-wave are turned off on this hub which is why several things are coming up null)

Thanks for the info

From a reboot at 9am on Feb 18th, to 8:30 am on Feb 23 the system performed better than ever. Memory stayed above 150000. I did see my zigbee devices and some zwave devices either reacting slowly or not at all this morning and so I rebooted the C7 which came up with 467928 free memory. It appears for me the critical level of free memory is around 150xxx.

Here's some of my logged memory status:
