C7 to C8 Pro migration issues

I am having multiple issues migrating my hub. I keep getting a failure when restoring from the cloud backup that the restore failed. I finally got it to restore after a few tries and reboots. Once it came online i found that the zwave seemed to work, but the zigbee radio was stuck on initializing. I updated the hub to the latest version and restored again and had the same issue. Not sure what is going on.

You say you are rebooting, but have you tried the 30 second power cycle? It takes time for the radios to reset, so you have to keep the hub unplugged for at least 30 seconds.

I'll wait for other responses just in case, and try again tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.

Definitely do the shut down-pull power-wait 30s-restore power dance that @chrisbvt recommends, that's spot on good advice.

You also need to insure your C7 is turned off and pull power on it, as its radio is still putting out signals if all you do is shut the hub down.

C7 was unplugged before I booted up the new hub.

@bobbyD @bluecharmbeacons @shellberg @gibsonweb Can someone from hubitat chime in before I give this another go?

When I boot it up I see that no channel is selected. And when I select 20 and update the channel, it doesn't stay populated. It goes back to blank. The c8 pro hub has been unplugged for 24 hours now and is still behaving the same. A channel scan shows results, so I dont think the radio is dead.

I am afraid that it might be the radio. Please create a warranty case: Warranty – Hubitat Support

This whole process is so aggravating. I did it again for the 3rd time, and the zigbee radio worked and linked up. I went to check my built in webcore pistons and I can see them there. I went to open the webcore settings and it won't open. I wish this move could just be easy.

Apparently the 4th time is the charm. This time i got webcore working as well. I have no idea why i keep getting these random issues. I even shut it down and let it rest after each migration. Webcore is working now and running. Everything seems to be linked up and working so far. Time will tell.
