C7 Hub Not Pairing with Schlage BE469ZP

Unable to complete Zwave inclusion of a brand new Schlage BE469ZP lock with C7 Hub operating Version 2.3.9.174. I've tried all the suggestions I could find, with no help. I've tried placing the hub right next to the lock, positioning an Aeotec Zwave extender 6 next to the lock, and always after performing a lock factory reset. Several times it showed up in Zwave details page, but never in the Devices list. So frustrated with this Zwave issue I started looking for a Zigbee version, but apparently Schlage has discontinued that model?!?

What firmware is it showing on the lock plate?

Please post your z-wave details page in it's entirety (use windows snip)

Do a factory reset on the lock, then do an exclusion before including.

How can I do an exclusion after a factory reset?

Looks like you tried to pair it with no security.
Locks require security to pair.

You have a ghost that needs removed (the lock) before attempting to pair again

devices>>add devices>>z-wave>>z-wave exclusion. Click that then start pairing mode on the lock. Once done. Wait a minute or so and start pairing.

Pair WITH security.

I've tried pairing both with and without S2 security... in both cases I find the lock in the Zwave Details page, but NO new device found on the Device page. The ghost appears every time after attempting to include the lock.

While attempting the inclusion I receive the bootstrapping message, but inclusion times out before a new device shows up that can be named and added to the Devices page.

Currently I'm unable to remove the ghost device found under Zwave details. I've factory reset the lock, then performed an exclusion, which didn't removed it. I've disconnected the lock battery and clicked 'Refresh' which caused the 'Remove' to appear, but clicking that button is unsuccessful in removing it. Now what???

Being unable to eliminate the ghost lock in Zwave Details, I tried rebooting the hub, afterwhich I now have TWO ghost locks with NO associated device in Devices page found!

You've now created 2 ghosts, those need to be removed before being able to add the lock. If you turn off the lock (pull the battery) Shutdown and unplug power your hubitat for 1 minute and power back up , you should then be able to click refresh then remove on those lines. The lock won't pair correctly till they're gone.

After removing ghost Zwave devices, rebooting the C7 and performing a factory reset on the lock, I secured an Aeotec Zwave extender right next to the lock (photo). Then instead of attempting manual inclusion again, I tried using SmartStart under Z-Wave Tools, which successfully allowed naming the device adding it both to Zwave Details and Device pages. I was then able to successfully implement AutoLock, and even use Lock Code Mgr for the first time since setting up a Hubitat hub.

Yeah SmartStart is the way to go, that's how I paired both of mine. I had no issues pairing them from 30ft away though.
