Didn't know where else to post this. Migrated a C7 to C8 Pro. Hit a few bumps but we're up and running now. Considering using the C7 to host my Internet-facing apps (OpenWeather, some web page scraping) in a hub mesh to take that load off of the C8 and provide some app isolation. The sync between the hubs is not time-sensitive, so data from the web-facing hub (C7) syncing to the C8 to provide data for the Webcore pistons on the C8 can proceed at a relatively leisurely pace.
The C7 is off-line right now, but I suspect still has all of the existing devices registered, duplicating what is registered in the C8. I don't plan on sharing any devices between the meshed hubs, just data via hub variables.
Question is: will a full factory reset on the C7, then bringing it back on-line (in the same network segment), allow me to cleanly set up the mesh? Or can I just bring the C7 back on line and remove the devices and disable the radios since I won't need the C7 to talk to any of the devices (device communication will be exclusively handled by the C8).
Or, am I just overthinking this (wife's observation, but possibly valid)?
