I'm looking for a C5 to add to my hub mesh. The C7's seem to have issues with S0 devices, and so I would like to separate my networks and add the older S0 devices to a C5 and keep the newer S2 devices on my C7. Anybody know where I can pick a C5 in working condition?
C5 is no longer made. You may find some on ebay but cheaper to get a z-wave stick. s0 is a chatty protocol and can crush meshes. You can simply use a z-wave stick paired as a secondary controller to hubitat then pair any s0 device through that and exclude security. If your s0 devices are locks or garage door stuff you want to leave them at s0. The biggest offender seems to be the zooz 4-in-1 sensors. So in the end, just get a z-wave 700 stick, it will be cheaper than another hub.
I have a spare C5 that was only used briefly. Would be willing to sell it.
