C-8 WiFi reconnect problems

My C-8 hub seems to become totally unresponsive every time it losses WiFi connectivity. If I restart my WiFi for any reason the C-8 never recovers/reconnects and cannot be accessed on either the main webpage or the diagnostics page. Its also not pingable. My only recourse is to pull the plug. What is even stranger is all my devices/automations stop working as well. It seems weird to me that an automation that has nothing to do with IP connectivity would no longer work when the Hub's WiFi interface is offline. For example I have a Zooz ZWave remote switch that turns off another Zooz in-wall switch. That will not work when the hub gets into this state.

Anyone else have a similar problem or any suggestions?

Hub: C-8
Platform Version: 2.3.9.157

I just restarted my router this morning and my Dev C8 which is on Wifi reconnected just fine.

Sounds like your hub is locking up not just getting disconnected.

Do you have any custom/user drivers or apps that connect to LAN/Cloud devices?

I am thinking maybe when the internet goes offline, something is hammering on a TCP connection until the hub locks up. There are integrations out there with very bad error handling for when things go offline.

Good thought... The only thing cloud based I have installed is the ecobee integration. I do have a couple of apps/drivers installed that I don't really use any more so perhaps one of them is making something go wacko. I am going to go clean up anything that is unused and re-test

This only matters if they are installed to the apps/devices list. If they are only in the "code" lists that code is never executed on its own.

I would not be shocked if it was Ecobee, seems like a lot of people with problems like this are running Ecobee. Not sure if its just that a lot of people have Ecobee and is a coincidence or something with the Ecobee integration.

Are you running a custom version (link please) or a built in integration?
