C-8 Purchased from Amazon LED light not powering on during initial setup

As title states, purchased from Amazon last week tried to set it up this evening and the device is not powering up. No blue or green LED, the LED is dark. Netgear switch does show an active connection but setup does not find the hub. I do not see the mac address listed on the sticker in the list of connected devices on my router.

Tried using usb power supply I use for my Raspberry pi and one used for charging an iPhone, still nothing. I did test the included power brick by connecting it to my phone and it charges.

Unable to try any of the troubleshooting steps listed in the documentation as I cannot connected to the device with a web browser.

Found a similar post dated March 8, unfortunately there is nothing in the thread that suggested a resolution.

Amazon has been known to ship returned goods to people, including Hubitat Hubs. Hubitat has asked Amazon to always send returns back to Hubitat, but not every hand got the message.

I'm not saying that IS what happened, but it does, sometimes.

Fill out a warranty claim:

I would suggest doing a warranty return as indicated by @csteele, rather than an Amazon return.

Doing the former ensures that this dead hub isn’t sent out yet another time by Amazon.
