C‑8 Pro Z‑Wave Details Broken: Node IDs Not Clickable, Remove Never Appears, Controller/UI Binding Failure

I’m experiencing a Z‑Wave controller/UI binding failure on my Hubitat Elevation C‑8 Pro. The Z‑Wave Details page is not linking to the controller’s node metadata, and I’m unable to remove failed nodes.

Symptoms:

  • Node IDs are not clickable
  • Routes never clear
  • “Remove” never appears for failed nodes
  • Soft Reset + Restore did not resolve the issue
  • Z‑Wave radio disable/enable did not resolve the issue
  • Full hub reboot did not resolve the issue
  • The controller is online, but the UI is not binding to the node table

Hub Information:

  • Model: Hubitat Elevation C‑8 Pro
  • Platform Version: 2.4.3.176
  • MAC Address: *****
  • Hardware Version: C‑8 Pro
  • IP Address: 192.168.68.98 (Ethernet)
  • Hub UID: ****
  • Location: *****

This appears to be a controller/UI desynchronization.
Could someone from Hubitat engineering please rebind the Z‑Wave controller or advise next steps?

Thank you,
Joe Goldman

Have you shut down/pulled power/wait 30s/restore power? If not please try that, clears/restarts the radio. Reboots don't do that.

I found switching to ZWaveJS more effective for removing ghost nodes.

When you rebooted, did you click the "rebuild database" option available as you start the reboot? If not, I would try doing that.

Thank you very much, this worked.

FWIW, the two first TS steps that are generally recommended/solve lots of problems are the reboot w/rebuild (clear up database issues) and shut down/power pull/30s/restart (clear up radio issues).

Generally good idea to start w/those two troubleshooting steps.
