Hi Gang, I just bought a used replacement C-7 from someone, and it still has their aps and devices on it. I've tried a full reset, a soft reset, pushing the factory reset button on the bottom... no change. I read prior threads that say to reset the Zigbee and Zwave radios manually, but my settings> Zwave/Zigbee Details cards don't have a reset option. I only see Disable, Refresh statistics, Rebuild network... Is one of those analogous to Reset?
It's in the Diagnostics app (need to click the Advanced button to see them).
No "Advanced" button on my Diagnostic Tool page...
We'll need to get your Diagnostic's Menu updated but:
http://<hubIPAddress>/hub/resetzigbee
http://<hubIPAddress>/hub/zwave/reset
EDIT:
Diagnostics Update:
http://<hubIPAddress>/hub/cloud/updateDiagnosticTool
"{"success":true,"message":"No update for diagnostics tool available."}"
Also 404 error for the prior two links you suggested
Somewhat expected that. Let's update the hub firmware first then. (Settings|Check for Updates)
At that version you should have both the Diagnostics and endpoints. Let's see what @bobbyD has to say on this one.
What version of Diagnostic Tool do you see at the top? Updates are available if the hub is connected to the cloud. I would check to make sure the hub is able to connect.
Diagnostic Tool Version:
1.0.75
If I'm talking to you, and to it, my internet is working... so unless your cloud is on the "outernet..."?
Working internet and a device that actually connects to it are not mutually exclusive...
Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean... how do i check to make sure the hub is connecting to the cloud?
FYI - that is not a factory reset button. It just resets network settings. Doesn't touch apps/drivers/devices or the z-radios.
Holy Smokes.
I pulled the plug, logged out and back in... NOW I have the advanced button...
Will try resetting radios now
Success! It seems like you have to log out/in and pull the power cord in some mysterious sequence to get the Diagnostic Tool to update properly, then reset the radios, full reset and pull the plug another time or two.
Now the prior owners stuff is gone and it's letting me re-register. Thanks all.
Just a friendly bit of advice. I wouldn't keep just "pulling the plug." Go to the settings menu and do a controlled shutdown.
Each time you just pull the plug, or there is a power failure, you run the risk of corrupting the hubs database. It doesn't happen every time but does occur. Many of us place the hub on a UPS to help with this.
