If anyone could try to replicate this: C7, button controller, Zooz dimmer, button press adjust by x "with fade time" x. Doesn't seem to change fade time.
Try leaving Button Controller out of this (though if you wanted to test it somewhere else, you could try Rule Machine with a "Button Device" trigger and get basically the same UI): go to the device page for the Zooz dimmer, put in something for both parameters (level and fade time, in seconds) for the "Set Level" command, then hit the "Set Level" button itself to execute the command. See whether different fade times are honored there, which will help narrow down a device vs. app problem.
If that doesn't show you anything useful, some information that might be helpful for others to help better: what model of Zooz dimmer is this, and what driver are you using? Are you using the dimmer as both the button device and the recipient of the "Set Level" command? Any errors or suspicious entries in "Logs" when you try?
Might be a device/driver issue, as the fade time is not respected when executed via the app either. Same behavior with Rule as with Button Controller, no control of fade time.
This is a Zen77 dimmer with the built-in Zen77 driver. My particular usage is controlling the dimmer with a Lutron Caseta Pico.
Did you mean the device page? If not, try it there to rule out any app issues. If it doesn't work with the "set level" command directly from the device page, no app will work with it either.
If it doesn't work, there's probably a driver problem (I can't imagine any modern dimmer wouldn't implement this ability), but I don't have the ZEN77 so can't say for sure. If you see any errors in the logs when you try or it enabling debug logging shows you anything about what commands are actually being sent (not all drivers do this), that may help someone figure it out.
Yes, apologies, I meant the device page. Does not work with setlevel. I don't see anything odd in the logs.
I actually had a convo with a Zooz rep earlier today because I was having current leakage with the Zen77 for one of my fixtures (causing bulbs to glow while off). They told me the Zen77 uses MOSFET for brightness control whereas the Zen72 does not. (beyond my expertise) I don't know if this would necessitate a change in the device driver or not but maybe it is helpful here.
