Markus's drivers have been around for a long time, so the problems you encountered are definitely not related to these drivers.
Yeah I have been using them myself for probably around 4 or 5 years with no issues. But I never had a second hub until Christmas, so when I started having issues that came up twice from a fresh migration and hub mesh being used for the first time, and then the problems went away when I changed drivers... Well, can you blame me for my assumption that it must be the driver?
I'll try them again without using any migration or update process and see if that resolves the problems.
I think what I really need to do is wipe the hub and totally start over, but I don't want to have to rebuild everything I've done over the past 5 years. But there have been strange problems creeping up over the past year that nobody seems to be able to replicate, so I'm pretty certain there's unfixable corruption in my hub somewhere.
Have you tried the ''rebuild database' option?
Oh yeah... Many times. Unfortunately it does not resolve my problems.
Unfortunately he is not around to keep the drivers updated based on Hubitat changes. There is no telling how 4-5 years of Hubitat updates might affect those drivers. I don't use them so they might be so simplistic, it doesn't matter.
Markus's drivers are supported and will be supported if there are any breaking changes in the HE platform in the future :
I donāt use them either, but AFAICT the opposite is actually the case.
Markus's drivers are rather complicated and not easy to support...
For new users and new Aqara device installations, I recommend using the HE built-in drivers.
For existing devices, I don't see reasons for changing anything that works.
Dang I missed this, I will try these.
I meant Markus isn't around anymore to support. I didn't know that you adopted them but I don't have any Tuya devices.
