Even though the new name is displayed and selected from the checkbox list, the device's old name is still displayed in the Notification rule.
I've seen this in various apps, not just this one, and the issue disappears as soon as you click/tap into the list (like you did) and click/tap back out. I've assumed it's just a display/caching issue, likely something @gopher.ny could look at at some point.
I'm assuming this is all you're seeing, too (e.g., not in actual notifications if you are using a device name as part of those).
