BST time error

Just noticed some of my trigger times have changed by going back 1 hour, this has changed on 30March 2025. This has only happened in my rule machine apps, my when Time is times in basic rules have stayed as they were. This is obviously something to do with the BST changeover, anyone else noticed this. I am UK based

This can happen with daylight savings time transitions, I believe.

If the rule has a daily trigger at a set time, it should resubscribe to the correct trigger time the day after daylight savings time starts/ends.

But to know for sure what happened in your case, screenshots of the rule, the rule’s settings page (click the little ā€œiā€ icon from the rule’s main page), and if available the log entries for the rule, could help explain.

i never use anything between 23:59 and 01:01 to make sure its doesn't get me.

not sure how computer manage this going forward do they jump from 23:59 to 01:00?
going back will it trigger twice for going from 01:00 to 00:01?

Not sure how other countries handle daylight savings transitions, but in the US, the time change occurs at 0200.

In the spring, when the clock hits 0200, it becomes 0300. In the Fall, 0200 becomes 0100.

so ive been wasting my time because its probably the same

It’s a sound practice, avoiding triggers that would be impacted twice a year by daylight savings transitions in the middle of the night.

But it’s definitely less effective if done at the wrong time of night .

i purposely set me hub backup time to 2:30 to avoid any issues. It seems to have worked and not skipped it, maybe it uses UTC in the background.

Is the hub time in settings showing correctly?
Does your region do daylight savings? I assume that is what you mean by the "changeover"?
