Broadlink pairing question. Not adding to HE quite yet

Good morning. My RM4s arrived. And may I say what a FPITA to add to the wifi network…..but after multiple attempts I have all 3 on my wifi and I can control the ACs from the broadlink app.
As my Hubitat hub isn’t here yet I’m going to use the broadlink app for on off functions for a while. So. This isn’t a HE question but hoping someone might be able to offer some suggestions.
When adding the AC to the mini, my specific unit wasn’t there and I was prompted to determine if it was a smart remote ( sending set commands ) vs a dumb remote ( sending +1 / -1) temp commands it appeared to be a smart remote. ( Daiken FTKD71GVM)
I can control the on off, fans, temp…etc but the temp settings on the app are different than the temp settings on the remote.
I’m assuming that the command from the remote or mini are only one way ( from remote or controller to the unit ) so I’m assuming that what ever device talks to the AC last is what the temp will be set to….yes?
The reason I’m asking is for the WAF. If I set the temp to say 19c on the mini, the remote will display what ever the last command from it was sent…..I think.

Am I right in my assumptions?

I can’t recall if I sent my HE hubs in my air shipment ( arriving in 2 days ) or my sea shipment ( arriving in 2 months ). So I’ll either be trying the HE integration this week end ….or in September

Appreciate any thoughts on the app setup while I await my HE.
Cheers

Yes - that is how it would work. For that reason, only a single method should be used to control the AC. The others will not be in sync afterwards.

I have removed the batteries from my Fujitsu Mini-Split Remote for that reason. I also had other control methods which I turned off so that only the HE would be used to control it.

Appreciate the info.
Cheers
