Bond integration - updating to include groups

Bond has updated their API to allow support for groups. This would be very useful to have in the Hubitat integration as it opens and closes groups of shades at the same time. Also none of my fans work through the system integration but they do work through the old 3rd party app. Not sure if this is something I doing wrong.

Yes absent a group shades app this would be awesome.

A group shade app would allow people with multiple shade technologies to use it but if it doesn't support the group shades function of Bond then I don't think it offers much here for a Bond user?

The Bond group shade function sends out the commands to the shades in near real time so they all open and close almost in unison. I assume a group shade app would send out individual commands to each shade. I am doing that through rules right now so can confirm that it is not as unified as using the group shade function of Bond.

Not a huge deal but lit does look better.

I want to correct my previous statement with the fans. They do work. I have figured out that I need to send out speed everytime. So for an Off I have to set speed to off, not use the off button.

I have also noticed in my testing that if the command is not received the first time by Bond, then I cannot resend the command from Hubitat. For example fan is on, I send out speed=off from Hubitat. Bond sends out the command and it fails. Bond shows it as off, Hubitat shows it as off. Pressing off button in Hubitat does not cause Bond to send out the off command. Pressing off button in Bond does resend the off command. I am not 100% sure about this as fully testing requires it to fail, which happens infrequently. But if Hubitat is not resending the command when it thinks it is off, having it resend would be helpful to send repeated commands to prevent these situations.

Good point. Bond group commands work really well and are completely synchronized.
