Bond / HomeKit / Shades and Battery Warning

I have a Bond Bridge - and have been using the in-built HomeKit integration for awhile now. i've started to have some reliability issues with that - so i'm trying to see if the built-in Hubitat Bond Integration might work better.

I just added my Bond Bridge to Hubitat without issue - and it imported all of my devices (shades, fans and awnings) into Hubitat as children under the Bridge.

I went ahead and configured all of those devices to be exposed to HomeKit - and they show up there properly.

One issue i'm having (and it's just an annoyance) is that for all of my shades and awnings - i'm seeing some of my shades (like this one) that are AC connected - displaying an issue with the battery:

and i'm also seeing some of my devices that are actually battery powered - saying that the battery is low, when it actually is not:

hubitat shows battery mentioned in the cababilities, for all of the shades and awnings:

ideally it would be wonderful if hubitat and HomeKit would show me actual / good battery info for the devices with batteries, and not indicate a battery issue for the AC connected devices.

in the event that's not achievable - i would prefer to just disable the battery indication altogether.

That much you can already do. Here's where I explained how to do this recently for a similar question:

You can fix your problem by turning on the option to show accessory classes and characteristics in the HomeKit Bridge app (if you didn't already), then using the "-" (minus) icon next to the battery attribute underneath your device, which will customize what gets exposed to HomeKit, in this case, removing the battery attribute. This makes sense to do if your device doesn't have one. Just curious, what parent device or app created this device, and what is the actual device? There may be a better…

i had that option ticked - but i likely never would have looked for those little plusses and minuses under the devices.

now that i've removed it from AC powered devices - for the battery operated ones, it's still showing battery low. is there a way to get it to show actual battery info?

That I don't know. Does the battery information come across into the device in Hubitat? If not, HomeKit won't be able to get it either (since it can only know what the device/driver does), which may be either a problem with the integration or just a limitation of the possibilities on the Bond side. If it's right on Hubitat and just the HomeKit bridge integration messing up the data, that could probably be fixed.

I don’t actually see it in hubitat. As a note, I don’t think I even see battery status in the bond bridge app itself.

I just went ahead and disabled it for those devices as well.
