Bond Bridge Driver

C8 pro 2.5.1.152

curl.exe -H "BOND-Token: 9621234567b011cb" -X PUT http://10.0.50.12/v2/devices/b5ad212345676ba0/actions/Hold -d "{}"

My testing shows that the built in driver for the Bond Bridge is sending bad commands to the Bond Bridge. The Open and Close are fine but the command to stop the shades is "Hold". Who might be able to take a look at this?

There are seemingly some other issues as well.

I posted this many months ago and it was ignored.

I don’t use a Bond bridge anymore, but I think that command retry would be difficult to implement since the hub doesn’t get any feedback from the IR or RF device controlled by the bridge.

Although, commands that result in an http error from the bridge could certainly be retried.

  1. Send command

  2. Wait a moment

  3. Check state, exit if set

  4. Refresh

  5. Wait a moment

  6. Check state, exit if set

  7. If less than retry count, goto 4

  8. If not set, generate an error

I'd think, something like that in the driver (which would be more efficient than my doing it in a RM rule like I have to now).

I am not having any problems with the open or close but for the 'hold' command, I used AI to write a small driver that sends the hold command 3 times in about 1 second because it was being dropped when only sending the command once. It seems to be working fine now. Now I'm trying to get Alexa to work with my driver.

All done now. With my new hubitat driver I can tell Alexa to close the shades or open the shades or as she is closing the shades I can tell her to stop and the shades will stop at that point. I did set up a hubitat rule to close the shades almost all the way and stop a foot from the bottom. A partial closing for movie time and my cats can still go under the shades. Its really a 20 foot wide shade for the lanai.
