Bond app google voice commands

Hi all I am looking for some help I have a bond home device on my fan I have had it integrated directly through the Google Home app I am now having trouble with it on the Google home app so I have switched to using the habitat bond home driver but now the question is is there a way that I can integrate that with the voice assistant I have tried doing it through this stock google home integration but it does not seem to work What are my options

What exactly isn't working? Adding it to the Google Home (GH) integration? Getting that info to sync to Google? Accessing it within your GH app? Something else?

Without knowing where this process is failing for you, no one can help very well.

I use a virtual dimmer in Hubitat to trigger automations from Alexa, so it should work with Google as well.

I use the dim level as a "code", and then I have an automation rule to react to the dimmer changing to x%. So on the Google side, you have a rule that set the virtual dimmer to 1% for on, 2% for off, 3% for low speed, etc. On the Hubitat side, set a rule for when virtual dimmer changes to 1%, send the Bond code for on, etc. Then have the rule return the dimmer to an "idle" code, I use 99 for idle.

Use an automation in Google so that when you say "turn on the fan" it sets the virtual dimmer to 1%. The rule on Hubitat side reacts to the dimmer changing to 1%, and sends the remote code to the fan using Bond, and then returns the dimmer to 99 for the next command.

I have a Broadlink blaster on Hubitat in my bedroom that I use to control the TV. I tell Alexa "cable tv", and the voice routine changes the virtual dimmer, and then on Hubitat Broadlink sends the code to change the TV source to cable, as an example.

OK, after doing some testing, I have figured out that the thing in comes out as fan-F out of the bind app and the light comes out as fan-L which I have renamed and Google to fan light and fan
Everything works fine for the light But I cannot change the fan speed via voice as it says the device type that fan is does not support that so I'm not sure if there's a workaround for that or not

Nice, I don't use Bond or Google, so I didn't know the specifics of what gets exposed.

What I was saying is a work around lacking any direct link, but some use of a virtual device to send a signal for speed could still be used as an add-on. I mostly use the virtual dimmer to trigger methods to run in custom apps, not necessarily for any single device control.

I have the Bond added to both the Hubitat and Google Home. i do not share my HE Bond devices to Google.

All voice commands issued to Google are executed via the Google integration. This has been working well for a couple of years on 2 fans/w lights.

I can still control the bond devices in automations using the HE integration

nice idea using the virtual dimmer levels. Filing away for later exploration. :grinning:

hi the problem I have with the stock Google integration is that the fan and light used to be seen as two separate devices but now in the Google map it is seen as climate control but the only voice command it will acknowledge is to turn the light on so if you say to turn the fan on it turns on the light so that's what has gotten me on the path Trying to find a different way to make it work

That's odd as I am not seeing that issue here. Everything is working as it has for years.
