OK the one thing i was finding a bit of a pain was having to open a dashboard to trigger a few external things, like opening my gate etc. Yes works with Google Assistant and Alexa, but i just wanted a button.
Newer Galaxy phones have Bixby Routines ..... who knew? and finally something useful from the "Bixby camp". There are other Andriod and IOS "widget" options. As well as IFTTT of course.
I added Maker API to my hub, worked out the ID and activated the cloud option.
Emailed the link to my phone and in about 30 seconds had a simple one button switch on my phone. Damn! My wife is going to think it's magic. It also worked instantly vs the loading time on the app or firing up a dashboard.
