Is there a way to run a rule after power is restored? I capture the device status of the Bond connected fans. I currently have a rule that stores the changed state of any fans and then another rule that restores that status when the hub reboots.

But some of the power outages occur too quickly (brown-outs, etc.) and not enough time for battery backup to run out for the hub so the rule never runs. Using this to detect power outages would be great.

I see rules to run when the outage occurs, but only enable/disable rules on restore.

You can run a rule(s) at startup

Yeah, I know. Like I said, I already have that. But if the hub never powers down, it never restarts so the rule I currently have won't run.

Being able to either (1) have a device state to read when changed to "power restored" type of thing (which is why I'm thinking my only option is a virtual switch which will add to the complexity of things) or a way to run a rule on power restoration with this app.

The Ring Extender Gen 2 can do this.

Yes, that is being used to detect the power outage. I need to run [a] specific rule(s) when this app determines power is has been restored.

See the sample rules I posted above.

Thank you! I did have that working before I found the hub reboot/startup status (oddly hidden in "Location"??) but when I started adding additional sensors to prevent false positives I had too many complex rules. I found this app and I liked how it allowed me to do the detection, just need to be able to run various rules on restore. I may try the "and stays..." setting in the detection rule to make sure power is really off, but again this app already did that for me so I had a single point of source control.

Under the Power Restore Actions if you set the delay to run rules to anything other than zero you well get the option to select what rules to run.

Had no clue, so sorry. Thank you so much!

LOL, no worries. Had quite a bit of input from the community on what they needed so I knew it was hidden in there - had to look at it myself though to make sure😎
