I now have idle but no other devices to choose from except the previously ticked ones.

I rebooted. Nothing there except the 5 I have ticked.

I do have online instead of idle as I init the volumes on reboot.

I am on the latest HE beta and there was an issue with ping on the last build, fixed now.

Maybe mDNS is acting up?

This is all I see on the mDNS endpoint.

Rolled back to try .159 as well but no luck.

I tried to install HE Chromecast Integration and the list is EMPTY.

Is there another endpoint where I can see all the mDNS members?

Seems like I need .167. :wink: I have a post in the beta section for this issue.

I do not think so. However, if you don't have the other chromecast (built in) installed, they should show on the home page as available devices. (I uninstalled the built in when I installed the +beta version)

I'll have to look for that link in Home, never seen that before.

I have nothing in the HE version or mDNS so I suspect that path will show nothing as well.

Do you have any multicast filtering turned on in your router? Or have you rebooted your router?

My mDNS look up on HE in settings has all the categories. Even the ones I have nothing in

No, nothing has changed in forever.

I did reboot my router and wifi mesh earlier just to rule that out.

I'll try and stop, test and restart pi-hole but it's never bothered me before.

This is making no sense that all mDNS has disappeared

The chromecast code only reads the mDNS entries. It would not affect what is showing at hubip/hub/mdnsDevices

Yeah, grasping as straws.

I haven't done anything except load a few beta releases in the last few days.

Maybe it's a red herring. I had all my other devices until I loaded the new CC+ release and it culled all the entries. Maybe they have been sitting there stale this whole time so I have no idea when mDNS stopped working.

What makes even less sense is that the 5 CC+ devices I have work fine so mDNS must be working, no?

Strange this just showed up in an otherwise empty mDNS endpoint.
