[Beta] Flow Engine - A visual drag and drop rules engine - 100% Local

,

@bptworld, any idea of what's going on here? Saving a flow works. However, still getting "no .json files found". Installed Flow Engine just a few minutes ago.

Do you happen to have hub security enabled? I haven't set that up yet, not sure what would happen. Also, what hub and version do you have?

Yeah, hub security enabled. C8P latest beta.

Ok thanks, I'll try to see what I can about that tomorrow

Just added another drop to github. Lot's more under the hood adjustments, code is getting tight! Look for the 'save flow' button turning red if the Flow has any changes that need saving. Same with the Variables Save button.

No rush. I tested this on another hub. When security was on, same behavior. When security was off, a dropdown menu appeared. So, I can confirm this has to do with hub security.

I love the red "Save Flow" button! Should you have a "Save and Exit", and "Save As" button?

Where are you going to go? :man_shrugging: The editor runs in it's own window, so the only thing I can think of for 'Save and Exit' is to 'close' the window? Plus with the new Flow trace, it's nice to leave it up for a bit and see the flow highlight it's way through the nodes when triggered.

@curtman3 , great catch! Code is almost done for this one.
@neerav.modi , security fix is in and will be in the next drop. Thanks to @thebearmay for the quick fix!

"Where are you going to go? :man_shrugging:"
Timbukto? Kalamazoo? I've been doing most of my testing on a tablet so perhaps, because of the limited screen space it's not obvious to me.

When I open the editor I get this message:

Here is the log:

The file "FE_flowModes.json" is not in HE filemanager.

When I make a change in Flow Editor the save button turns red but it lets me exit without showing a warning message if I didn't save.

What about Katmandu!? lol

That should be fixed in the next drop. (maybe)

Yup, it does. I'll see what I can do about that.

Keep 'em coming.

Thanks

THANK YOU for the security fix. Menu is now displaying.

One more related request: filter out non-flow .json files. Out of these, there is only one valid flow file - Flow1.json.

All set. It won't pickup 'FE_' files or 'var_' files. But if other apps dump json files into the file manager, there isn't much I can do about that.

Repair!

Possible to pre-read them to see if they are valid? If you can't, that's ok. Just making a suggestion.

No problem, always good to think outside the box. If/when they give us subfolders, it'll solve the problem of other jsons in the file manager.

Have fun

Hope you had a great weekend.

How/where do the various flow names appear? Does the Flow App appear under Apps in the main Hubitat control section and each flow appears under it as rules do now? If not, where are they?

What naming convention rules need to be followed, if any?

Hi,
You add this app just like any other.
All this is covered in the second post.

Thanks
