Best Way To Upgrade Firmware On A Long Range Z-Wave Device?

I found a ZSE18LR that had been hanging around for a while. I have a feeling it's going to need a firmware update. It hasn't been included yet-new in box.

I recall that the way to do it would be to include as a non-LR device, upgrade, exclude, and then do the SmartStart thing.

Am I right?

It was indeed your thread I recalled!
Thanks!

Can I ask you another question?
How do you find the firmware version?
I've hit configure and checked logs, after waking up the device, but no firmware version.
I've changed driver to "driver", earlier when it was paired as mesh, and again, nothing.
Thanks.

The firmware updater driver or app will query for and show the version. Or any of my drivers will also get the firmware version and put it in the Data at the bottom of the device page.

I didn't think of running the updater to search for the version. Thanks.

I inadvertently picked the wrong user driver, which caused me some problems, like no motion states, lol. The driver said "advanced", but I think that was in 2020, lol.

I just used the firmware updater on a ZEN55.
Took 5 minutes!
