Best practice to start over with the Z-wave mesh

Hi,

What is the best practice when starting over with a Z-wave mesh. Currently my Z-wave devices are not working properly.

Is it possible to exclude the devices without removing them from the RM4 rules? Or do I need to remove the device from all rules first before excluding the device?

that way you can retain placeholders in your rules and go back and change them after your done with the new zwave.

Also might I add...that the first few zwave devices you add to the mesh are VERY important in my opinion. Make sure they are good strong zwave devices that will most likely end up being your repeaters.
