It is the Sphynx mentioned above.
This is something my family needed to address a while ago. We ended up going with a device from Petlibro shown below. Petlibro has a ton of options so it is just a matter of finding the right one for your needs.
We needed to do this because our cat Fifi is very food motivated and would constantly pester for food if she viewed us as the source. Now all of the attention is for snuggles and comfort not food. She cant have food left out for her as she would gorge herself constantly into morbid obesity if allowed. When we got the machine she needed to loose about 5 lbs. The machine and the right food really helped.
I did look into wet food, and the reason i avoided it was because of concern about food spoilage. I didn't read anything positive about the experience about the few machines i found that could do it. On top of that the machines were really not ment to last for more then a day. With the Petlibro machine it can last a week or two between refills.
The Petlibro i have is based on Tuya Smartlife. Unfortunately, i dont see a way to bring it into Hubitat. The setup of it is pretty simple and the functions are fairly basic, but complete. You simoly schedule feeding times and the number of portions. The scheduling in the app works pretty well. The size portions on my unit are fairly small each so it is easy to manage the amount of food on each feeding. I believe some units even have battery backup incase of a power outage.
As far as trips and time away from home the machine has also worked well for those conditions. She does have issue after a few days of no human contact though. On small motorcycle trips though when we have gone to the mountains for a few days on our spyder F3 motorcycles she has done great and the machine has kept her fed. We also use a water fountain which again lasts about a week once filled with water.
I would certainly suggest both of the devices for short trips. If away longer then 4 days though i would suggest a house/cat sitter or taking the cat with you. Beyond 4 days she was noticeably disturbed, worried and unhappy. When a cat gets that way they start to get distrucive ans that is not what you want from a kitty.
I would also suggest doing some gradual tests to see how your cat tolerates everything. We have a cheap Eufy camera in the house that gets turned on when we are on trips. This is just so we can keep tabs on the animals. Cats are notorious for traveling bad so keep that in mind as well. They are all unique though so really need to find out how yours tolerates it. I have had many cats over the years and the only one traveled well is our current one. The rest wer all disasters anytime they had to travel.
I went with a cheap hard food feeder for the treats because it claims to do small portions.
The one we got dispenses like 2 tablespoons of food as a portion. Because Fifi is a pretty big cat around 15 lbs now she gets 3 or 4 portions 3 times a day.
This is exactly why we purchased a dry food dispenser for the cat.
