Auto turn a device off

Evening, I've been struggling to work out how to turn a device off once its been turned on if say after 10 mins its been left on. any ideas how I'd do this in rule machine?

If it's a Zooz device, you can likely do it at the device with a parameter.

A simple approach using the "sticky triggers" feature in Rule 5.1 (the "and stays?" option) might look like:

Trigger: Switch on and stays that way for 0:10:00

Actions to run:
Off: Switch

You could also use @csteele 's Auto Off app; that does all the work for you and is very easy to use. (And with a wife who doesn't like to turn off lights :slight_smile: this is a godsend.)

@baldog His auto-off app can be found here, very easy to use. (Can also be 'reversed' to do auto-on (turn something on if it's been off for x min). I use the auto-off w/hot water pump, whole house fan, coffee cup heater, attic light, etc.
