Yes, I suppose placement can make a difference. I have ~65-70 Aqara sensors. So my z2m mesh only has Aqara-compatible repeaters, which fortunately also work for all other zigbee end devices.

Had 1 of the Aqara motion sensors that behaved great for a week as a test, then bought 3 more. One by one they would drop off, but would repair easily. Got tired of doing this so they went back.
Have 4 Aqara buttons that like to drop off also, but not as often.
