Hi Guys, I have a couple of Aqara motion sensors which oddly have been rock solid for years. It may be because I have a few IKEA Traffic outlets keeping my mesh alive.
Anyway, that said, the lux only appears to update on these sensors when there is motion detected. Is there any way of refreshing the devices so that Lux can be evaluated as necessary.
Am I using the wrong driver perhaps? There are no commands for refresh or polling etc etc. See screenshot
AFAIK, this is a hardware limitation of the Aqara motion sensors. They only report lux on motion events even on other platforms.
How odd and what a weird process. I'd like things to operate upon lux change, but basically I need motion + Lux for rules to execute. Once again Aqara lose credibility.
Shame because their gear is inexpensive, neat and tidy, but can't quite tick all of the boxes.
They also make straight lux sensors that work well with Hubitat.
