I have acquired an Aqara FP1E and am trying to use it with the somewhat recently-added system driver for this device. It does pair successfully to my C7; however, when the device driver is set to the system built-in driver for an FP1E, I don’t see any relevant configuration or status options. It only shows as a triple button. The logs show messages being received, but not interpreted into events.
I have a bit better luck with the community driver, inasmuch as it gets events most of the time.
Is there anyone who’s had luck with the HE system driver for the FP1E?
I have a FP1E. I remember it being a pain to pair, as it can do some sort of incomplete pairing on the first try, so I had to pair it again without resetting it, if I remember right. There are posts on here about that if you search for them, but it sounds like yours is paired OK,
I'm using kkossev's Aqara P1 Motion Sensor community driver. It works well for me. I don't remember ever trying the built-in driver for it, however.
Yes, I've been able to pair it successfully (it appears to work straight away if I use the System driver; the Double Luck Voodoo method is successful for the community driver you mentioned). I'm having some issues with clearing the occupancy state using the community driver and was hoping the native System driver would work, but alas -- my presence sensor only reports having 3 pushable buttons and no sensing capabilities at all with that one.
I don't have any pushable buttons. That must be leftover from a previous driver.
You can clear out a device by switching the type to the generic "Device" driver, then go the the command page with that driver and and press Configure, and press all the commands to clear everything. Then go back to the community driver, and press Configure. It cleans everything up, but leaves the device still paired to switch back to the driver you want to use.
