Yeah, tried it as well after restarting, both from far and close and still nothing.
Is there anything maybe I should do before pairing the fp1e?

I have a C7 Hub and I paired the device. It was a challenge to be sure. If you still need help, meet me over at my chat and I can see if I can help if you like.
@kkossev, I have been using a FP1E with your driver and it is working fine. It seems that the mmWave sensor is detecting through walls. Is this the expected behavior ? Can this be changed somehow ?
If it’s thru walls in front of it, try reducing the distance preference.
If it’s seeing behind, some have used metal (foil?) plate as a shield.
Hi JayF,
Hubitat now has a native, built-in driver for the Aqara FP1E mmWave sensor :
You can try using the stock driver. It has an option to configure the device sensitivity. I have not added the same option to this custom driver, as it makes no sense to duplicate the work.
What’s your recommendation for drivers for
P1 and FP1 sensors?
Currently using your P1 driver for both.
My recommendation is to continue using what is already working OK for you - if ain't broke, don't fix it!
New version (dev. branch) 1.7.1 2024-11-19 :
The distance reports are disabled (filtered) by default :
To enable the distance reports the toggle must be in off position.
Have you had the chance to try the latest driver version? Is the distance reporting reliable in your environment?
Driver appears to be working well. Using with P1 and FP1 so no distance readings.
Hello @kkossev
Is the problem for C-8 with Zigbee pairing already solved for Tuya and Aquara devices?
I’m plannin to purchase the Presence Sensor FP1E + like you adviced HUB E1 for better connection but I have doubts now. What would you recommend?
My idea is like this:
I want to make my garage doors close automaticaly, but not when someone is inside.
I plan to have the Presence Sensor (Aquara or other brand) + Hub E1 if needed (?)
I need Zigbee button but i need Connect two wires to control the open/close function of the doors. Any idea what button it can be? There is no power/electricity in the buttons. It’s not a wall-button. This should be a button which connects two wires going out from the garage main controller, when the signal from presence sensor comes.
Please support.
Thank you in advance.
Piotr
Aqara FP1E sensor works very well with Hubitat. You can use both a HE inbuilt driver or choose to use a community driver for it. FP1E is also supported in HE Generic Matter Bridge, if paired to an Aqara hub.
Unlike the Aqara old-generation battery-powered devices, which are known to have problems disconnecting from Zigbee coordinators (HE, ST, HA, etc.) that are different from Aqara, the new Aqara Zigbee 3.0 devices work very reliably. So, for FP1E my opinion is that it is best to pair it directly to your HE hub.
